Song MeaningHard to believe this classic is hasnt got an interpretation yet. AFAIK its (famously) about the Blitzkreig on London in the s - especially the V1/V2 rockets fired by the Nazis. Buster = rocket 'Ahh-ahh' lyrics = air raid sirens The rockets were not precise and hit civilian areas to massive effect hence the despair. The people are shouting 'Buster!

In a way, this is an early "greatest hits" compilation meant to introduce Americans to their new heavier sound. If you're not really familiar with the Sweet and want a nice introduction, this is a great place to start. If you are only familiar with their late 60s and very early 70s pop hits, this is NOT like that/5().

Bringing the melodies of '60s bubblegum into the '70s glam scene, this British band scored big in the U.S. and especially at home in the UK. You know those '80s pop-metal stars grew up on these: The hits Co-Co; Little Willy; Blockbuster; Ballroom Blitz; Fox on the Run; Action; Funny, Funny; Wig-Wam Bam; Hell Raiser; Teenage Rampage; the Six Teens 36 Sweet songs!/5(40).

This band ceased to exist in the early s. The spinoff bands, Andy Scott’s Sweet, Brian Connolly’s Sweet (now defunct) and Steve Priest’s Sweet are all separate bands. Please do not link any of their activities to this artist!
